What is Prostanol?

Prostanol is an herbal prostate supplement. It is confusing because there is also a British prostate supplement called Prostanol as well. We are reviewing the one from Vital Max that you can see to yhe right.

ProstateHealthJournal.com’s Ingredient Analysis:

Criteria Our Comments
DHT Lowering Ingredients Saw Palmetto
-Beta-Sitosterol
Quercetin
Pygeum
Stinging Nettles
Pumpkin Seed
DHT is a form testosterone that inflames and irritates the prostate. Prostanol has good amounts of saw palmetto and stinging nettle but very low amounts of beta-sitosterol (just 20 mg!) and pumpkin seed oil.
Anti-Inflammatory Ingredients Boswellia serrata
Stinging Nettles
Green Tea
Lycopene
Cat’s Claw
Cranberry
Rosemary
Anti-inflammation ingredients will reduce the irritation and swelling your prostate has and prevent further damage. Prostanol has just two ingredients that address inflammation, stinging nettles and lycopene.
Prostate Nutrients Zinc
Copper
Selenium
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Like all organs in the body, the prostate needs certain nutrients to function. Prostanol has zinc, vitamin B06 and some amino acids.
Artificial dyes No Titanium Dioxide
No FD&C
Artificial dyes like titanium dioxide have been found to increase the risk of cancer. FD&C also have negative effects. Prostanolhas none of these.

Prostanol Ingredients

Prostanol contains many of the DHT-blocking ingredients but with very low dosages of beta-sitosterol, arguably the most important DHT-blocking ingredient.

Prostanol has three anti-inflammatory ingredients and could use improvement there as well.

Prostanol’s prostate nutrient packageĀ  focuses on amino acids when minerals and vitamins are more important.

Does Prostanol Work?

Prostanol does not contain many ingredients that address DHT levels, the root cause of enlarged prostates. Its beta-sitosterol content is very low. It has several anti-inflammatory ingredients and a good amount of prostate nutrients. We would rather use a supplement that addresses all three categories adequately.

Is Prostanol Safe?

Prostanol uses ingredients that are natural and the dosages are reasonable. It has no harmful dyes or coloring.
